DOMINIC LALLI (BIG GIGANTIC):

Big Gigantic established themselves as pioneers of live electronic music with the band’s inception in 2008. Now, almost 10 years later, they continue to shape the genre by moving it forward with each new release. The Colorado-based saxophonist/producer, Dominic Lalli and drummer, Jeremy Salken, are veterans of blending electronic dance music with their live instruments to create Big G’s truly unique sound, that is as thoughtful as it is danceable. Big Gigantic mixes musically mature melodies with addictive beats and samples, that are familiar to a Kanye West or LCD Soundsystem single, and crosses all styles of music from jazz to hip hop, funk to dubstep.

After graduating with a master’s degree in jazz from the Manhattan School of Music, Lalli relocated to Boulder and began performing with Salken, experimenting with the idea of interpreting traditional DJ-based music with live instruments. The duo built up early hype in 2008 with local shows and one-offs and have since toured the country countless times enjoying a 90% tour sell out rate. Big Gigantic’s transcendent live shows are a showcase of brilliant improvisation and the tightly-‐knit bond between Salken and Lalli, who breathlessly alternates between keys, sax and laptop, building a contagious sound that keeps the crowd on its feet.

Over the years, the band has cemented themselves as a must see act on the US festival circuit, having performed at every major festival including: Coachella (where a local Indio, CA high school marching band joined them on stage), Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival, Hangout, Austin City Limits, Governors Ball, Electric Forest, Outside Lands, and Bonnaroo (where they’ve appeared both on their own and as Musical Director of Skrillex’s 2014 Superjam performing alongside Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Robby Krieger from The Doors, Lauryn Hill, and Janelle Monae, among others). Big Gigantic has also appeared internationally at such festivals as Lollapalooza Argentina and Brazil, and Mad Decent Block party India. In 2014, the duo made their debut at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York City supporting Bassnectar.

Big Gigantic have released five full length studio albums to date and recent singles that have taken the band to new heights including “The Little Things” feat. Angela McCluskey which is receiving national acclaim, with over 1 million downloads and 20+ million streams and landing sync placements everywhere from Fox’s breakthrough show ‘Empire’ to ESPN’s Wimbledon 2016 & NBA coverage.

Beyond their five-year-running, two-night festival, Rowdytown, at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Big Gigantic is known for giving back to their community and created the Big Gigantic Difference Foundation. With strong partnerships that include local non-profits such as Conscious Alliance, The Kitchen Community, and national organization Electric Family – the band, in coordination with their fans, have given back both monetarily and with their time through various their #ABigGiganticDifference events. Big Gigantic’s most recent album, Brighter Future, reflects their commitment to working closely with the community to make the world a better place.

DAVE WATTS, JOEY PORTER & GARRETT SAYERS (THE MOTET):

Music and escapism go hand-in-hand.

A concert or an album can unlock another world, if you let it. The Motet respect and revere this time-honored phenomenon. Fusing fiery funk, simmering soul, and improvisational inventiveness, the Denver, CO seven-piece—Lyle Divinsky [vocals], Dave Watts [drums], Joey Porter [keyboards], Garrett Sayers [bass], Ryan Jalbert [guitar], Parris Fleming [trumpet], and Drew Sayers [saxophone]—have continually provided an escape for listeners over the course of seven full-length albums since 1998, including their latest release Totem and with an upcoming 2018 release.

“When you’re listening to us, I want your mind to be taken away from wherever you are during the day and into some other place,” states Dave. “It’s all about that.”

After quietly building a diehard and devoted following, 2016 represented a watershed year for the musicians. They welcomed Lyle and Drew into the fold and released Totem. For the first time, The Motet sold out the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater—the holy grail venue of their hometown—cataloged on Live at Red Rocks. The group locked into an unbreakable groove.

“We’ve never been a band that just blew up overnight,” Dave goes on. “We’ve been very tenacious about our movement forward. We’ve been through many different iterations throughout the years. Right now, it feels like we’ve got the lineup that’s making an impression on our scene. Lyle is the perfect match for us. He’s got musicality and this raw energy we all resonate with. He ignited this spark to put work in and write inspiring music.”

“We want to take people on a journey,” Lyle leaves off. “In order to go on a journey, you have to participate. You can’t just simply let it happen around you. You have to give yourself into that journey. Everything is open. You’re free to be yourself. You’re free to go on that adventure and journey. We want to be the catalyst for listeners to understand themselves and the world around them.”

“This is a family,” concludes Dave. “We’ve got each other’s backs. We’re doing this, because we love to be around each other and create together. We’re committed to working together because we appreciate and respect what we have to say and provide the music world and our community.”

DAN SCHWINDT (KYLE HOLLINGSWORTH BAND):

Dan grew up in Seattle, Washington, where he learned to hide from the rain, compile an awesome collection of flannel T-shirts, and build igloos in the snow. The son of an opera singer and a research scientist, Dan grew fond of music and creativity at a young age.

Dan first started playing guitar at age 12, learning as many Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath tunes as possible. This continued to progress into the early 90s and the heyday of Seattle grunge scene. After transcribing Nirvana's «Nevermind» album in its entirety along with Pearl Jam's «Ten» during freshman year of high school, Dan knew all he ever needed to know about the guitar and retired.

After a lengthy 3-month hiatus Dan's first teacher and musical mentor, David O'Suna, gave him a copy of «Wes Montgomery Plays the Blues» and John Coltrane's «Giant Steps». Dan's life now took a turn for the better as he realized he would be embarking on a life long journey of musical exploration and improvisation.

After graduating from Shorecrest High School in 1995 Dan earned a scholarship to the University of North Texas's College of Music. While in college he was able to study and play with notable musicians such as Fred Hamilton, Dan Hearle, Ed Soph, Mike Stern, Joe Diorio, Ron Eschete, Wayne Krantz, Dave Liebman and many others. At UNT Dan received a world-class education in jazz and classical performance, composition, arranging, and barbecue.

Dan's passion for music has led him to tour all over the country playing primarily with jazz, blues, rock, funk, singer songwriters, and jam bands. His passion for music is equally paired with his enthusiasm for nature and the outdoors, which is why he currently lives at the edge of the Rocky Mountains in Denver, CO.
